Our Mission

Welcome to Coeur d’Alene Foot and Ankle Clinic and Surgery Center. Our mission is to provide the highest quality care possible, in a safe environment. We strive to provide our community with state of the art surgical procedures upholding the standards of the Academy of Ambulatory Foot and Ankle.. Towards this end we offer the most advanced corrective surgical procedures, traditional and minimally invasive, available.  We specialize in the Isham minimally invasive techniques recognized by orthopedic and podiatric surgeons worldwide.

Because we are committed to comprehensive and convenient care, we are able to perform both simple and more extensive surgeries on site in our Accredited & Certified Ambulatory Surgical Center.

CDA FOOT AND ANKLE CLINIC

Coeur d’Alene Foot and Ankle Clinic was founded in 1974 by Stephen A. Isham, DPM, MD, DrHC (retired), as Spokane Foot and Ankle Clinic. Our current location was established in 1995. During these years, we have provided the most advanced surgical care available. Our professional staff includes Dr. Orlando Núñez, DPM, MD, Podiatric Surgeon, Michelle Kopriva RN, BSN, CIC, surgical nurse manager. Dr. Núñez received his DPM from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science and is licensed in Idaho and Florida as a podiatric surgeon. Dr. Núñez earned his MD degree from the University of Cartagena and is licensed as a medical doctor in Colombia, Mexico, and Europe.

Our goal is to provide the best care possible for our patients!

He attended an orthopedic residency in Guadalajara, Mexico, a three-year surgical residency in foot and ankle surgery in Miami, Florida, and a two-year fellowship in minimal invasive foot and ankle surgery sponsored by the Academy of Ambulatory Foot and Ankle Surgery. Dr. Núñez is a Fellow, Associate Professor of Surgery, and past Associate International Director of the Academy of Minimally Invasive Foot & Ankle Surgery (AMIFAS). He has authored chapters on minimally invasive surgery published in two orthopedic texts as well as an article in an Orthopedic journal in Italy. He is fluent in English and Spanish. Michelle Kopriva RN, BSN, CIC surgical nurse manager received her RN degree from North Idaho College and her BSN from Lewis and Clark College. She is board certified in infection control and epidemiology. Ms. Kopriva has over sixteen years of clinical and surgical nurse experience at Coeur d’Alene Foot and Ankle Clinic and Surgery Center. There are multiple nurses and MA staff at the clinic and surgery center to provide compassionate knowledgeable care to patients. The front office staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and skilled in billing and authorizations.
